Housing for degree candidates is provided in seminary-owned facilities, based on space available and number of credit hours yet to be completed. The seminary does not provide housing for non-degree students.

Master of Divinity students are limited to three years' residence in available efficiencies, apartments and townhouses provided on campus.

Master of Theological Studies and Master of Arts students are limited to two years' residence in efficiencies, apartments and townhouses.

Efficiency Studios

Schenk Hall dormitories were completely renovated during the 1999-2000 academic year, and now provide efficiency apartment housing for 45 students. All efficiencies are equipped with cable and internet connections. Rent in Schenk Hall efficiencies is $2,880 per academic year for 2006-07, payable $960 each term. (The academic year is defined as orientation through the last day of class in the spring term.) A room deposit of $200 is required before moving into the efficiency. No adjustment will be made for students who elect to study off-campus during the interim term. A student occupying an efficiency studio during the summer will be charged $95 per week.

Application for efficiency housing should be made to the Admissions Office at the time of application for admission. Students living in efficiency housing are subject to all current seminary housing policies and rules; you may request a copy from the Admissions Office.

Apartments and Townhouses

Thirty-four air-conditioned, carpeted one-bedroom apartments are in three buildings located on the campus. The apartments provide a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bath, and are unfurnished except for refrigerators and ranges. Storage space and coin-operated laundry facilities are provided in the basements of the three apartment complexes.

Eleven two-bedroom and ten three-bedroom townhouse-style apartments are also available. These units provide a living room/dining area and kitchen on the first floor, two or three bedrooms and bath on the second floor, and a full basement. Three-bedroom townhouses also have a half-bath on the first floor. Each unit has its own heating and air conditioning, and is carpeted. They are unfurnished except for refrigerators and ranges.

Space within the two and three bedroom apartments is limited, and fire codes set limits on the number of children who may reside in a single apartment. The maximum number of children allowed in a three-bedroom apartment is three, and the maximum in a two-bedroom is two, assuming the children are of an age that two could share a bedroom.

Monthly rental of seminary apartments for 2006-07 is $415 for one-bedroom, $510 for two-bedroom, and $590 for three-bedroom units.

The one, two, and three-bedroom apartments are managed by Wagenbrenner Realty (telephone 614-488-0671), and are rented on a contract basis, with rent payable monthly. For additional information contact Wagenbrenner Realty.

Several apartment complexes with moderate rentals are located within easy commuting distance. Students presently living in comparable off-campus apartments and townhouses pay $375-700 rent per month.
